CNC Machining Of Engineered & Advanced Plastics

Advanced EMC Technologies specializes in CNC precision machining of high-performance plastics. Delivering exceptional quality and service to companies of all sizes and industries from Space-X to Medtronic. Our team works with companies of all sizes, from small start-ups to global enterprises across multiple industries such as aerospace, fluid handling, medical industries, oil & gas, transportation and more.

We provide engineering and design support selecting the best materials for optimum total value. Precision CNC Machining with over 100 years of combined experience in supporting our customers’ critical components.  Advanced machining processes ensure that every component meets stringent industry standards, offering reliability, durability, and optimal performance in even the most challenging applications.

Precision Machining

We Excell in Machining Plastics where challenging conditions require exceptional material performance.

Our materials perform in applications that require:

Kel-F® PCTFE Machined Parts for High-Performance Applications

At Advanced EMC Technologies, we specialize in high-precision machined parts made from Kel-F® (PCTFE), an exceptional polymer known for its excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and unique properties that make it ideal for high-performance applications. Our Kel-F PCTFE machined components are engineered to meet the demands of various industries, offering stability under extreme temperatures and conditions.

We manufacture a wide range of Kel-F PCTFE parts tailored to specific applications, including seals, gaskets, and other critical components that require durability and precise tolerances. Our expertise in PTFE and Kel-F machining ensures that every part meets stringent industry standards for quality and reliability.

CNC Machining of PEEK. PPS, TFM and Polyimides

Advanced EMC Technologies employs over 150 years combined experience in and machining and molding Advanced Polymers such as  PEEK, Torlon, PPS, PTFE, TFM and Polyimide’s like Vespel components. PEEK machined parts are use in oil and gas industries were extreme temperatures and chemical compatibility are require. PPS or Ryton is are use were temperatures are lower but chemical compatibly is even more critical.

TFM a modified PTFE is use in seals, gaskets and valve seats providing lower permeation than conventional

Teflon or PTFE in critical sealing. applications.

Polyimides such as Vespel, Meldin and our Fluorlon HT are used in even higher temperatures, excursions to   800F for short term exposure.   These highly engineered polymers are specified industries most demanding applications.

Polyimides use in Ultra Pure Semi Conductor applications were short terms excursions to 850F are possible    We specialize in metal to plastic conversions employing the latest in polymer processing.

Advanced EMC Technologies provides our customers with the highest quality materials and lowest overall cost for their precision PEEK components.

Machining vs. Molding

In many instances, injection molding isn’t the best or only choice for fabricating plastic components. CNC plastic machining has many advantages worth considering:

  • Greatest design change flexibility
  • Greatest cost efficiency for smaller quantities
  • No parting lines, ejector marks, or flash
  • No draft angles are required
  • Closest tolerances possible
  • Lowest component stress
  • Fastest turnaround time
  • Low or no tooling cost
  • Ease of producing features such as threads and undercuts

Precision Machining of Engineered Plastics

Precision Manufacturing Solutions has been in our DNA for decades, from CNC Plastic Turning and Milling to high volume small diameter plastic parts on  Swiss type machining. Advanced EMC Technologies is not your typical machine shop, with engineers and production support to specify the correct material for your exact application and to determine the most cost-effective production processes to maximize total value.

We focus on the plastics classified as engineered or advanced polymers; these are the workhorses of industry so if you’re needing a machined plastic part that needs to perform such as those listed we stand ready to provide our superior quality with unparalleled service and support at globally competitive prices with manufacturing in North America.
