We are proud to introduce our new family of Teflon balls. This product offers a solution to valve leaks in even the harshest environments. Its’ waterproof, non-porous surface can be machined or molded to any desired size.
Benefits of Teflon Balls
Teflon is inert, chemically resistant, and has a wide operating temperature range. Teflon balls are corrosion-resistant against caustic chemicals. Our Teflon balls have a long surface life and excellent ductility, making them excellent seals.
Materials Used for PTFE Balls
There are different materials used for Teflon balls
- Virgin Grade PTFE
- Teflon NXT 85 Modified PTFE
- Stainless steel-filled PTFE (50% 316 stainless steel 50% PTFE)
- 25% Glass-filled PTFE
- 15% Glass-filled PTFE
- 10% Carbon 10% Glass-filled PTFE
Teflon Ball Uses
Teflon balls are found in various industrial applications. Commonly, Teflon balls are found in
- Ball Valves
- Check Valves
- Slide plates
- Volume displacement
Because of the purity of the PTFE balls, they are often found in medical devices, food preparation, electronic, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications.
Teflon Ball Properties and Tolerances
Teflon ball properties allow them to be used in corrosive, highly caustic applications and in a wide temperature range.
