Fluoroseal Piston Rings Polymer Rings For Sealing Performance
Fluoroseal Piston
Rings
The engineer’s choice for low friction and low wear service. Our polymer piston rings provided in PEEK, PPS, Torlon or PTFE have a long history of performance in medium to high pressure rotary applications.
We specialize in Polymer Piston Rings, typically manufactured from our composite
- PEEK
- Torlon
- PPS
- PTFE
These composites provide exceptional performance in non-lubricated , dry gas, high temperature where low thermal expansion is critical
BECAUSE RELIABLE ON TIME SOLUTIONS MATTER
We provide quality products to meet your budget and service expectations with a variety of processing technologies in polymer molding, extrusion, and complete fabrication capabilities, from providing energized PTFE seals to Polyimide bearings to implantable polymer medical devices.
To maximize the best performances to the compressors, piston rings and bearing guides made up of various PTFE compounds are largely used, replacing traditional materials like cast iron, graphite and stratified structured materials.
The PTFE chemical inertness makes this material suitable for all the applications where high chemical resistance is required in the presence technical gases and fluids.
Piston rings and guide bearings can be used at temperatures up to 260 °C, depending on the system pressure and speed temperatures may be reduced to the PV limit value. In order to improve wear resistance and to rise the working temperature limit other advanced polymers may be specified such as DuPontTMVespel®SP21, Torlon and PEEK.
Typical applications of piston rings and guide bearings
- Dry Compressors
- Reduced lubrication Compressors
- Refrigeration Units
- Pumps for the chemical Industry
- Pumps for liquefied gases at Low Temperature
