Polymer Seals and Materials for Fluid Handling
Advanced EMC Technologies offers more than three decades of engineering and design experience in supplying PTFE spring-energized seals, PTFE rotary shaft seals, polymer ball valve seats and other sealing components to some of the world’s largest manufacturers of valves, pumps and instruments. Performing research and development, we’re here to solve your challenges with polymer seals, bearings or engineering components. We have the resources and experience to provide seal or bearing solutions involving the following materials:
- PTFE
- PEEK
- UHMW
- PEK
- TPE
- Torlon
- PPS
- other engineered materials
Our testing capabilities ensure that our materials are highly compatible with each customer’s specific operating conditions, including unique fluids, pressure and temperatures.
Our Fluorolon proprietary bearings have a universal chemical inertness that works well in chemical pumps that are used the entire day with chemicals that range from acids and caustics and need volume-controlled accuracy.
For vacuum pumps, Flourolon materials and vanes are valuable due to their self-lubricating properties, high wear resistance and high mechanical strength. In diaphragm valves, other proprietary materials are used to manufacture poppet seals providing low friction, long life for the component, and good impact resistance.
Canted Coil Springs for the Fluid Handling Industry
The Flexforce canted coil spring or slant coil spring is used in connecting designs with the ability to conduct electricity while serving as a locking or connecting mechanism.
